Terms of Service

Effective date: [effective date]

Applies to: seatmap.live, its seat maps and SeatMap Pro.

These terms are an agreement between you and [legal entity name] (“SeatMap”, “we”, “us”) about your use of SeatMap. By using the site or signing in you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use SeatMap.

1. What SeatMap is

SeatMap shows the seat map of a flight by its flight number: every seat drawn to scale, with ratings, legroom, exit rows and seat details. With SeatMap Pro it also shows which seats are open right now and recommends seats.

SeatMap is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or run by any airline. Airline names and logos belong to their owners.

2. Your account

  • You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google. Your first sign-in creates your account.
  • Use an email address you control. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • One account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in.
  • You can stop using SeatMap at any time, and ask us to delete your account (see our Privacy Policy).

3. Seat information

Seat maps, ratings and open seats come from airlines and other data sources. We work to keep them accurate, but they can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and aircraft can change at short notice.

  • Open seats change all the time. A seat shown as open may be taken by the time you try to choose it.
  • SeatMap does not sell tickets, choose or hold seats, or change bookings. You do that with your airline.
  • Always check your seat, and any fee for it, with the airline before you rely on it.

4. SeatMap Pro

Seat maps and ratings are free. SeatMap Pro is a paid subscription that adds live open seats for every cabin and seat recommendations.

  • Pro is billed monthly or yearly through Stripe, at the price shown before you pay. It renews until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account's billing page. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Refunds: [refund policy]
  • We may change Pro's price or features. A new price applies from your next renewal, after we tell you.

5. Acceptable use

Use SeatMap only in ways that are lawful and fair to us and to other people. In particular, do not:

  • copy, scrape or collect seat data in bulk, by script or otherwise;
  • resell or republish SeatMap's data or pages;
  • get around Pro, sign-in or rate limits, or interfere with how the service runs.

6. Intellectual property

The SeatMap site, its name, seat drawings, design and software belong to [legal entity name]. These terms do not give you any rights in them, beyond using SeatMap as offered.

7. Other services

Some parts of SeatMap rely on other companies: Stripe for payments, Google if you sign in with it, and OpenStreetMap-based map tiles. Their own terms apply to what they provide.

8. Changes

SeatMap will change over time: features may be added, changed or removed. If we change these terms, we update the effective date above, and for important changes we tell you before they apply.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

SeatMap is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no promise that it is accurate, complete or always available, or that a seat it shows will be available to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, [legal entity name] is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from relying on seat information, such as a seat that was taken or a fee you paid. Our total liability is limited to [liability cap]. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law does not allow us to limit.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using SeatMap at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we stop offering SeatMap or Pro, we tell you first, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and disputes go to the courts of [venue], unless the law where you live gives you more protection. [Lawyer to confirm.]
